Man dies in EC crash

A 45-year-old man has died in a head-on collision on the N2 near Humansdorp.

Police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli, said the accident happened on Friday.

He said a man travelling in a BMW from George to Uitenhage allegedly lost control of his vehicle which collided with an oncoming truck.

Nkohli said the driver, Wilfred Impondu, died on the scene.

"The truck driver and his passenger escaped with minor injuries," he said.

Nkohli said a case of culpable homicide is under investigation.
