Great Brak Rivier police arrested a man on Thursday morning in connection with the murder of a former York High teacher.
The elderly victim, Ron Wiggett was found murdered in his house on The Island in Great Brak River on 14 September 2014.
The 57 year old suspect was arrested a few days after the murder on Wiggett but was released shortly thereafter due to lack of evidence.
Blood that was found on the suspects clothing was sent for DNA-analysis.
The results now link the suspect positively with blood that was found on the murder scene.
The suspect was arrested for a second time. He will appear in court on Friday on a charge of murder.
