Man arrested for allegedly stealing Polo at car wash in Summerstrand

Port Elizabeth police have arrested a suspect who allegedly stole a car from a car wash in Summerstrand.

Labans says the vehicle's 19-year-old owner had apparently left his White Polo at the beachfront car wash.

He says the man's friend later noticed the car being driven by a stranger and raised the alarm.

The suspect was apprehended in Second Avenue, apparently while busy changing the number plates of the vehicle.

Labans says he will appear in court soon.
