Lucky escape for Mossel Bay homeowner after bakkie smashes into kitchen

Mossel Bay police are investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving after a VW Amarok bakkie ploughed through a garden wall and end up in the kitchen of a house.
Home-owner Dinette Wessels told Algoa FM News that the incident happened shortly before midnight on Thursday on 4th Avenue in De Bakke.
She said the vehicle came to a stop in their kitchen which she said was “destroyed”.
Wessels said it was the fifth time in six years that something like this has happened.
Police said the male driver was treated by emergency services at the scene and taken to a hospital in Mossel Bay. The nature of his injuries is not yet known.
