Residents in Timothy Valley in Port Elizabeth's northern areas have begun looting foreign owned spaza shops.
Police spokesperson, captain Stanley Jarvis, says the looting began early on Wednesday morning and followed Tuesday's looting and torching of foreign owned spaza shops in Greenfields at Booysens Park.
He says police used rubber bullets to disperse the residents who flee and then regroup elsewhere in the area.
Jarvis says police are assisting the foreign nationals to remove their stock from their shops and to usher them to safety. He says no shops were torched but a large number had been looted.
