Life behind bars for man who paid to have sex with a teenager

A 65-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman from Queenstown have been sent to jail by the Lady Frere Regional Court for rape and sexually exploiting a teenager.
The man must serve a life sentence behind bars, and the woman five years.
In 2012 the 51-year old woman sold her daughter to the 65 year old man for sex.
The woman said she needed the money to buy alcohol, as she was addicted to it.It transpired during the investigation that the sexual exploitation of the minor began towards the end of 2012, when the girl child was only 10 years old.
