The Mossel Bay Magistrate's court has issued a warrant of arrest for a Lesotho National who's been linked to the murder of an elderly resident of the town.
Police have named the suspect as Clement Siabata Kholoane and say he's been positively linked to the murder of 79 year-old Margaretha Willemse.
She was found dead in her luxury Pinnacle Point Golf Estate home on the morning of 4 June this year with a wound to her neck after her 87 year-old husband raised the alarm.
Her husband had sustained stab wounds but survived the ordeal and alerted a neighbour's caretaker at around 10 am the same day.
He suffers from Alzheimer's disease.
Captain Malcolm Poje says Kholoane has been linked to Willemse's murder through his fingerprints which were found at the scene.
It is believed that he did gardening work for the victims.
Captain Poje says Kholoane fled the area in the aftermath of the crime and that police believe he may be in the Bloemfontein area, or in Lesotho.
The police are appealing to anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect to contact their nearest police station.
