The legal spat about the Mandela family grave site resumes in the Mthatha High Court on Tuesday morning.
Last Friday the court granted 16 family members an order instructing chief Mandla Mandela to return the remains of three of Madiba's children to their original burial site at Qunu.
Mandla had the remains exhumed, reportedly against the family's wishes, and reburied at Mvezo, Madiba's birth village.
He says he intends opposing the court order.
Counsel for both parties deliberated in chambers because of the sensitivity of the matter on Monday.
