Firefighters from Kouga Municipality's fire department and Working On Fire volunteers are still at the scene of this weekend's massive veld fire near St Francis Bay.
Kouga Municipality spokesperson, Laura-Leigh Randall, says they will be tending to hot-spots in a bid to prevent the fire from flaring up again.
Meanwhile, no houses were burnt down while four firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation.
Police have meanwhile denied reports that a signal flare was responsible for the fires and branded the suggestion as malicious.
Police have opened an inquest docket into the case of the fires has been opened.
