Courtroom 26 of the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court was packed to capacity this morning, ahead of the appearance of 28-year old Christopher Panayiotou, for the murder of his wife Jayde.
Panayiotou’s bail application is set to continue today, with both the state prosecutor, Marius Stander and defence advocate Terry Price to submit their heads of argument.
Algoa FM's Raahil Sain reports that the State submitted a 6th affidavit on Tuesday morning, and Magistrate Abigail Beeton adjourned proceedings until a quarter past eleven to allow the Defence time to study it.
Court orderly's had their hands full this morning and had to ask some people to leave the courtroom to make way for the Media. Court has adjourned till 2pm
