Eastern Cape police are investigating the theft of two laptop computers from an office in the Mount Road police station in Port Elizabeth.
In a brief statement on Tuesday, provincial police spokesperson, Colonel Sibongile Soci, said that the incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
She said further details surrounding the incident remain unclear at this point.
Soci said that a case of "house-breaking" has been opened.
"The Eastern Cape provincial commissioner, Lieutenant-General, Liziwe Ntshinga, said that she had directed the cluster to mobilise all the resources to ensure that they expeditiously track-down the suspects involved and bring them to book," she added.
