Ten suspects all armed with rifles robbed a shopping centre in Komani on Tuesday of an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police Spokesperson Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana says as police responded to the incident they identified a vehicle suspected to be one of the cars used in the robbery.
He says police followed the vehicle which stopped at a local garage.
Brigadier Kinana says three suspects were ordered to get out of the vehicle and it was soon established that the car was reported as stolen following a hijacking in Boksburg North.
The three men were arrested and police found an undisclosed amount of cash, a firearm and ammunition.
The trio between the ages of 30 and 52 will appear in court soon where they will face various charges.
The other suspects are still on the run.
