A teacher from Knysna will appear in the Great Brak River Magistrate Court on Tuesday morning. The teacher is currently in
custody at the George Correctional Services after he was arrested together with four other housebreaking suspects.
The teacher, who was teaching at a primary school in Knysna, was arrested together with four other suspects after members from the Great Brak River police station
searched their vehicle during a roadblock search on the N2 highway.
Stolen goods and housebreaking implements were found in the vehicle that belongs to the teacher. One of the suspects has since pleaded guilty on a charge of house
robbery and was sentenced to 30 months imprisonment. Bail was denied to the teacher during a previous court appearance and he will therefore stay in custody for the duration of the trial.
