A security guard was killed during an armed robbery in Knysna at the weekend.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Brenda Muridili says the incident happened in the town's center on Saturday morning.
She says a preliminary investigation suggests that two security guards were collecting cash from a supermarket at the Woodmill Lane Shopping Centre.
Muridili says the driver was waiting inside their vehicle when he heard a noise.
He got out of the vehicle and saw two men fleeing with the cash and then found his fatally wounded partner.
No arrests have yet been made.
