Six Kirkwood residents are expected to appear in court on Friday after being arrested in connection with violent protests in September.
Protests flared up again yesterday, with police forced to use stun grenades to disperse hundreds of members of the local community who are angry at their grievances not being addressed by the Sundays River Valley Municipality.
The local business chamber says that in a show of solidarity with frustrated locals, it has offered to post the bail of the six when they make their court appearance.
