Police are still on the hunt for the killers of two elderly women who were murdered in the Eastern Cape this month.
In the first incident, 78-year-old Patricia Orpen was discovered with multiple injuries to her body, at her farmhouse outside Cradock, last week.
Her handbag was stolen and her LDV bakkie was later found partially burnt in Cradocks industrial area.
Two days later, the body of an 89-year-old woman was found at an old age home in Komani.
She was found by a neighbour who went to check on her and had sustained multiple wounds to the upper body.
