Kids discover body in Despatch

Eastern Cape police have opened an inquest docket, following the discovery of a body in Despatch at the weekend.

Spokesperson, Capt Gerda Swart says the body of an unknown man in his late 20's was found on Saturday afternoon.

She says children found the body next to a river in Retief.

Swart says the man was dressed in a black denim, black jacket and a navy shirt.

She says it is believed that he might have drowned.
