The Gqeberha doctor who was kidnapped from his surgery in Kwazakhele on Monday afternoon has been rescued safely.
On Friday, spokesperson for the Hawks in the Eastern Cape Lieutenant Colonel Avele Fumba said that Dr Bongani Qini has been reunited with his family.
Lt. Col Fumba also said an arrest had been made.
The Hawks said previously that his kidnappers had demanded a ransom but did not disclose the amount.
Dr Qini's vehicle was also recovered in one of the townships in the city on Wednesday.
