A Khoisan chief from the Eastern Cape who led a small delegation on foot to Cape Town has arrived in the Mother City.
Chief Khoisan SA and five others left Port Elizabeth on Saturday the 13th on their epic walk.
Speaking to the DMB on Algoa FM this morning, Chief Khoisan SA, highlighted other grievances.
"The walks is for the rights of the Khoi Bushmen people being recognised as the first people of South Africa. Also, one of the things is that our language is not recognised. We also took a walk for the scrapping of the Land Act of 1913," he said.
Chief Khoisa SA said the more than 700km journey also took quite a toll on their bodies.
"Physically we had to go on our knees. Our ankles were also swollen most of the time. Some of us went to clinic to get some extra treatment. Mentally it was exciting ... because we kept focusing on what our purpose was and that made us achieve this walk."
