Eastern Cape police have recovered a trailer and the kayaks that were stolen from Russian visitors at a mall in Mthatha on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Sibongile Soci, said: “valuable information” received from a member of the community, led police to the Tsolo area where the trailer was found next to the road on Thursday.
She said that further investigations led to police to Hibary near Mthatha Dam where the stolen kayaks, said to be worth R100 000, were found.
No arrests were made and the investigation continues to trace the other stolen items.
