The hunt continues for a lion missing from the Karoo National Park near Beaufort West for more than a week.
The animal, which was apparently kicked out of the tribe by other male lions, has already killed 13 sheep and a kudu bull on several farms.
SANParks regional spokesperson, Fayroush Ludick, has the latest on the search.
"Our lion is still missing, when I last heard from the team, late last night, they had tracked the spoor to the Nuweveld mountains close to the Northern Cape border. On Sunday they were accompanied by 3 SAPS members from the stock theft units of Cape Town and Beaufort West. The master tracker has unfortunately left the team as he needed to get back to his tracking academy. The team form the Addo Elephant park and their dog has also returned home" she said.
