Judgement on Christopher's Panayiotou's lawyers request for 14 police officers to hand over sections of the case docket will be handed down in the Port Elizabeth High Court on Tuesday. The police officers appeared in court last week Wednesday, after being subpoenaed by Panayiotou's team to hand over sections B and C of the docket, which deals with amongst others consultation notes and phone records.
Police officers that were subpoenaed, include the investigative officer, Captain Kanna Swanepoel and two officers who drove the alleged hitman, Luthando Siyoni, to Fort Beaufort to obtain his confession.
Defence Advocate, Terry Price, poked holes in Siyoni's statements to police during a bail application by Panayiotou, based on new facts, earlier this year. Siyoni has meanwhile turned state witness.
Panayiotou is accused of orchestrating the murder of his wife, Jayde, in April last year.
The trial is set down to start on the 11th of October.
