Jaguar crash victims identified

An elderly woman was identified as one of the three people who were killed in a horror accident on the R72 between Port Alfred and Kenton On Sea on Sunday.

Police spokesperson, Captain Mali Govender, identified her as 87-year-old Beulah Booysen.

The other two people who died in the crash were 19-year-old Ryan Byrne and well-known East London businessman, Andrew Turnbull (42).

Police said according to an eye witness who was travelling towards Kenton on Sea transporting students in a bus,  a white Jaguar sedan travelling at a very high speed started swerving across the road.

The driver of the bus managed to avoid a head-on collision but was hit at the right rear by the car.

The witness told police that he noticed in his rear view mirror the Jaguar colliding head-on with a Maroon Mercedes Benz.

A case of culpable homicide is under investigation.
