A Jeffreys Bay panel beater has been granted bail in the Humansdorp Magistrates' Court, after being detained since last Tuesday in connection with a fracas in his home town.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says 43-year-old Dolf Van Den Berg was released on R5000 bail on Friday afternoon.
His case has been remanded to the 8 February.
Van den Berg faces seven counts, including three charges of attempted murder and one of drunken driving.
He was held in connection with a series of events on last Tuesday evening which began with him allegedly rear-ending a woman's car.
The drama ended at his home when he allegedly shot and wounded his own wife, shot a local man in the stomach and also fired several shots at the woman who's car he had crashed into.
