Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality says it is currently experiencing IT System challenges in its server.
Metro spokesperson, Mthubanzi Mniki says this has led to glitches in their customer care, creditors and payroll systems.
He says this will result in delays with payment of creditors and municipal staff, who would have been paid on Friday, 13 December.
Mniki says they would like to advise ratepayers to continue paying their accounts to avoid being in arrears.
He says IT engineers are currently working around the clock to fix the problem.
