Inquest docket opened after man dies at VW

Police are investigating the death of a man following an incident at Volkswagen's Kariega plant on Friday.

Spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg said the 56-year-old male died at around 8.30 in the morning.

She said "at this stage" the circumstances relating to the incident are unclear. 

VW Group Africa confirmed the fatal incident.  

Police in Kariega have opened an inquest docket into the incident.
