The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality says it has created many new jobs with the
establishment of the city's new bus service .. Libhongolethu.
Executive mayor, Benson Fihla says the project has thus far created 900 employment opportunities while 6 administrative positions have also been created.
He says dozens of temporary jobs also flowed from the project.
Speaking at the launch of the Uitenhage Modal Interchange on Wednesday, Fihla said the
municipality would create 450 new jobs with the Standford Road construction works, with new work scheduled for Njoli, Motherwell and other areas in the Metro.
