The Kouga Municipality is advising that a number of Eskom power lines have fallen in the Humansdorp area.
Municipality spokesperson Laura Leigh Randall reports that about half the town is without electricity.
Eskom personnel are busy with repairs.
Power lines were also down in the Jeffrey's Bay area over the weekend.
Randall says they're hoping to restore the electricity supply to both town's and surrounding areas by one o'clock this afternoon - depending on the severity of the rainy conditions which are hampering the work of the Eskom technical teams.
