Huge dagga bust in Uitenhage

The police's dog unit in Uitenhage has seized more than 620 kilograms of dagga with an estimated street value of more than 1.2 million rand.

Spokesperson, WO Basil Seekoei says police noticed a bakkie being towed, and pulled it off the road.

He says police found 30 bags of dagga in the Isuzu bakkie.

Seekoei says the dagga was seized and the vehicle impounded. He says the driver of the towing truck is not connected with the find.

Seekoei says police are following-up on leads, and an arrest is expected soon.
