A 40-year-old suspect who chose the wrong place to sell his suspected stolen property on Monday and was immediately arrested.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu says a man had tried to sell a variety of items at Cash Crusaders at Pier 14 in North End, Port Elizabeth, but some of the property was immediately recognised by one of the employees as her property which was taken in a housebreaking at her home in Seaview last month.
The estimated value of the items taken was R30 000.
The man had tried to sell a laptop, laptop bag, a 3TB hard-drive, laptop charger and a mask with writing on it.
Colonel Naidu says the employee immediately recognised her mask and the police were alerted.
The suspect was questioned and his reason for possession of the items was vague and not convincing to the officers.
He was arrested and detained and will appear in court soon on a charge of possession of the suspected stolen property.
