Organisers are confident of putting together a more positive Splash festival in Nelson Mandela Bay next month than last year when the tender to organise the event was awarded at the 11th hour.
The 2014 Nelson Mandela Bay Splash festival will take place over the Easter weekend, from the 18th to the 20th of April at Hobie Beach and will include a wide variety of entertainment and new sporting features.
Speaking at the media launch at Happy Valley on Tuesday, Soul Good Director, Darren Munger says three charities would benefit from this year's Splash Festival.
"The headline acts for the entertainment stages are Musa (Idols SA), Dozi and Andile with a host of other activities including Steph The Hypnotist and the Easter Egg Hunt amongst others.Benefactors include The Hobie Beach Surf Lifesaving Club, The House of Resurecction Aids Haven and the Community Chest of Port Elizabeth, the money allocated to these charities come from the stall component and that is 50% of the profits raised from that component." says Munger
