Seven homes were destroyed in fires raging since Sunday in Vermaaklikheid, in the Hessequa Municipality in the Garden Route.
The spokesperson for the Garden Route District Municipality, Marillia Veldkornet, said no injuries were reported.
However, she said that should the weather conditions change approximately 100 houses at Puntjie and Basjans Bay would be in danger.
Hot weather with temperatures of up to 33 degrees is also predicted for Tuesday.
Veldkornet said more than 50 firefighters from Working On Fire, GRD, George and Hessequa Municipalities as well as volunteers from the farming community are battling the fires.
