Democratic Alliance leader, Helen Zille, will be visiting Sterkspruit in the Eastern Cape on Friday.
Her visit comes in the aftermath of protests by local residents who are demanding to break-away from the Senqu Municipality due to the lack of service delivery to Sterkspruit.
The recent protests resulted in the town being shut down for two weeks.
Zille's spokesperson, Cameron Arendse.
"The Community have asked that Helen Zille go to Sterkspruit to see the service delivery failures and the corruption within the municipality. The community have asked her to engage with them and how to turm the situation around. She will be meeting with various residents and organisations and business leaders in the area" Arendse said.
