The Hawks have issued a warrant of arrest for a convicted fraudster from Port Elizabeth who failed to appear for sentencing.
The 40-year-old (John) Brandon Hooke was arrested in 2016 for fraud amounting to approximately R610 000 and was convicted four months later.
The Hawks are now appealing to the community to come forward with any information on Hooke’s possible whereabouts.
Police Spokesperson Captain Anelisa Feni says he is believed to be either in Port Elizabeth or somewhere in Johannesburg.
He was supposed to be sentenced on the 13th of March 2017 but never appeared and has been evading arrest ever since.
