The Hawks are investigating allegations of fraud and corruption at the state petrochemical producer, PetroSA in Mossel Bay.
Hawks spokesperson captain Philani Nkwalase confirmed that an investigation has been launched.
It is alleged that several senior employees at the company were involved in dodgy procurement processes.
Nkwalase says they cannot disclose the identities of those being investigated, pending the outcome of their investigation.
Nkwalase says the investigation is still in its early stages and no arrests have been made.
