Gun and money stolen in latest CIT robbery in GQ

Police in Gqeberha are investigating a cash-in-transit robbery (CIT) that took place in Central on Friday.

Spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says a private security company collected money from a business in Govan Mbeki Avenue at about 10 am.

She says three suspects approached the guards and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and one firearm.

No shots were fired.

The suspects fled in an NP200 LDV.
