Former Tembisa police officer, Rosemary Ndlovu, has been sentenced to six life sentences for the murders of five relatives and her lover.
The victims included her sister and her nephew.
She also received 10 years on Friday for the attempted murder of her mother.
Judge Ramarumo Monama also refused to grant her leave to appeal in the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court.
Ndlovu was found guilty last month of the murders and of insurance fraud for pocketing R1.4m in life insurance claims.
She was arrested in 2018 following the deaths of her live-in-lover, Maurice Mabasa, and her five relatives, Witness Madala Homu, Audrey Ndlovu, Zanele Motha, Brilliant Mashego, and Mayeni Mashego.
Judge Monama also sentenced Ndlovu to 5 years for tampering with a crime scene whilst working as a police officer.
