Graphic images show assault on elderly in Mossel Bay

The Mossel Bay Police Station are investigating a case of assault and theft after an 84-year old resident from a local old age home in Mossel Bay was allegedly assaulted over a period of a few months.
Police are in possession of graphic images which shows injuries of the victims finger and toe nails. On the images it can be clearly seen how the nails of the victim was cut deeply
into the skin. Apart from these injuries, it is alleged, that the resident also had a bump on her head and an injury to her leg. Police are also investigating a case of theft after clothes of the victim was stolen
In a similar case, the National Prosecution Authority will not be prosecuting a case of emotional harassment on an elderly person, after video footage of alleged emotional abuse on an 81-year old woman in a home for people with dementia, was handed in at the Mossel Bay Police Station.
