Grahamstown police have arrested a 25-year old man for the illegal possesion of mandrax.
Capt. Mali Govender says two constables were on patrol in the Joza Location on Friday evening, when they received information on the sale of Mandrax at a house in the area.
She says on entering, they found a man lying in bed.
Govender says they asked him to stand up, and as he did so, a packet containing mandrax tablets fell to the floor.
She says an undisclosed amount of cash, and 50 mandrax tablets - valued at approximately R2500 - were seized.
