Gqeberha police have arrested a 40-year-old woman for the illegal possession of Schedule 5 and 6 prescription drugs in the city's Northern Areas.
Spokesperson, Colonel Pricilla Naidu says members of the Anti-Gang Unit executed a search warrant at a house in Highfield Road in Korsten on Saturday evening.
She says a total of 2 947 tablets, including Stilpain, Purata, Brazepan and Tripeline, with an estimated value of more than R12 800, as well as an undisclosed amount of cash, were confiscated.
The woman was arrested and is being detained for contravening the Medicines Control Act and is expected to appear in the Gelvandale Magistrate's Court on Monday.
