Gqeberha police have launched a manhunt for two armed suspects who robbed a Post Office in Sidwell.
Spokesperson, Capt Sandra Janse Van Rensburg says it is alleged that they entered the post office in Commercial Road late yesterday morning and locked four staff members and a customer in the safe.
She says the two suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The keyholder to the safe was summoned to free those locked inside.
Captain Janse van Rensburg says four of the victims were taken to hospital where they were treated for suffocation.
Anyone who might be able to assist with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects is requested to contact the nearest police station.
