A 34-year-old Bethelsdorp woman is expected to appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, for the alleged murder of her husband at their home in Extension 21 on Saturday evening.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Pricilla Naidu says it is alleged that 33-year-old Duran Alexander and his wife returned home, and according to witnesses, loud shouts could be heard from the house.
She says while the argument continued, the suspect allegedly screamed for help.
Naidu says Alexander was found lying on the floor.
He sustained a stab wound to the chest and died at the scene.
The woman was arrested at their home and is being detained.
