Police detectives in Bethelsdorp, Gqeberha, are seeking the community's assistance following the murder of a 28-year-old man.
The victim has been named by police as Anele Jubaliza.
Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says he was shot and killed in the early hours of Sunday morning in extension 36, Bethelsdorp.
Residents reported hearing gunshots around 4 am and the body of Jubaliza was found lying in Shaheed Street shortly before 7 am.
He had been shot multiple times in the upper body.
Captain Janse van Rensburg says the motive for the shooting will form part of the police investigation.
Meanwhile: Bethelsdorp detectives have opened an inquest docket after a shack fire claimed the life of a 38 year old woman in Kleinskool.
Captain Janse van Rensburg says a family of four was asleep in their home in Ceratonia street when the daughter of the deceased woke up in the early hours of Saturday morning .
She noticed that the blanket that was covering her mother had caught alight.
Nicolett Stefaans died in the fire which is believed to have been started by a heater.
