Gqeberha police have arrested a 30-year-old murder following the discovery of the body of his girlfriend in his shack in Vastrap in Booysens Park.
Colonel Pricilla Naidu says the brother of the deceased was informed by the suspect on Sunday that 38-year-old Virginia Jordaan was not there.
She says community members later found her body in the shack.
She sustained multiple stab wounds.
Colonel Naidu says it is suspected that the motive for the murder was domestic-related.
The suspect will appear in court on Tuesday.
