One of the Gqeberha businessmen who was abducted on Tuesday was found alive on Wednesday afternoon.
Godknows Chavazhinji, 34, who works as a subcontractor, was dropped off in Durban Road in Korsten severely battered and bruised.
According to police, Chavazhinji was kidnapped at around 2 pm in Wells Estate.
Hawks Spokesperson, Captain Yolisa Mgolodela said numerous ransom demands of up to R100,000 had been made for his safe return.
According to Mgolodela he was released due to pressure by a Hawks investigation team, without a ransom being paid.
Mgolodela also confirmed that 54-year-old hardware store owner, Zahir Bayit was still missing.
Bayit was also kidnapped on Tuesday, by a group of men in front of his hardware store in Motherwell.
A ransom demand of R1 m has been made for his safe return.
According to Mgolodela, three men have been arrested in connection with Bayit's abduction.
Video footage of Bayit's abduction shared on social media shows him exiting a store and walking in the direction of a white vehicle that is parked next to a mobile ATM-machine.
As he reaches the driver's side of the vehicle he is approached by two men.
A silver SUV then pulls up and parks behind the white vehicle, before five men jump out and seemingly fire shots into the air, while other accomplices are also seen brandishing firearms.
Bayit was forced into the back seat of the silver SUV before the suspects drove off.
The Hawks investigation is continuing.
