George woman missing after taking Bolt ride to medical facility

Benit Joy "Bonnie" 63

supplied

It has been 10 days since a woman from Pacaltsdorp boarded a Bolt to take her to a medical facility in George, never to be seen again.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies says 63-year-old Benit Joy Brink-Lawrence also known as Bonny, left her home on the 15th of January.

He says she was dropped off in the parking area of a medical facility near York Street but never returned home.

She was subsequently reported as missing by her husband.

Sergeant Spies says they tracked the Bolt driver and interviewed him but now the search has been expanded to other parts of the country.

Any person who might know of her whereabouts is urged to come forward by calling the investigating officer on 079 894 1589
