Plans by a group of good Samaritans to provide food to under-privileged people in Helenvale, Port Elizabeth, went awry.
That's after thieves broke into a church in Helenvale and stole all the ingredients and cooking implements, including gas burners, stored in the church.
However, this did not stop the proverbial show from going on.
Rotarians heard about the situation and hurriedly stepped in, as Kathy Hassel, explains.
"What we are trying to do is assisst in trying to make up some of the food items that were stolen, so that some sort of meal can be prepared for the needy" she said
