The South African Weather Services in Port Elizabeth said good rainfall was measured in certain parts of the Eastern Cape up until 8 o clock on Monday morning.
Spokesperson, Garth Sampson said, "parts of the Nelson Mandela Bay's catchment area received between 30mm and 42mm's".
"This rain is nice but it's not enough to make a marked impact on the dams because the farm dams must fill up first before the water can run off into the dams. Then the very good news is that we are expecting some good falls this coming weekend which should make an impact on the dam," he said.
