Parts of the Garden Route received some good falls of rain over the past 24 hours with Riversdal recording between 60 and 106 milimetres.
SA Weather Services spokesperson, Garth Sampson, said the Robinson Pass received around 64 milimetres while 53 mm were measured in the George and Wilderness area.
He said however that the Langkloof, which houses the main catchment dams for Nelson Mandela Bay, did not receive much rain, but Sampson said there is still hope over the next few days.
"Not much was measured in the Langkloof with just 0.2mm measured in Joubertina and 1.4 mm in Kareedouw. Patensie had a dismal 4.6mm also," he said.
Meiringspoort was reportedly flooded for the second time this year.
"Although the Langkloof did not have much rain yet, more rain is expected over the next few days,” Sampson said.
