Gramhamstown police have arrested three teenage boys for the alleged rape of three young girls whom they met at a tavern in the town.
Police spokesperson, captain Mali Govender, says police management is also investigating the matter in terms of the Liquor Act after it emerged that the girls were aged 14, 16 and 17.
Govender says the girls woke up in a house in A street on Sunday morning after being at a tavern the night before.
She says the case is being investigated by the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit.
The youths, aged 17, 18 and 19, will appear in court soon.
